Donald C. "Ducky" Martínez, age 53, of Las Vegas, New Mexico, has gone to be with Our Heavenly Father, after fighting a long term illness.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Martínez and Phoebe Frésquez, brothers, Frank "Cabezon" Martínez, Robert "Wagon" Martínez and Michael A. Martínez, paternal grandparents, José León and Rosenda Martínez and maternal grandparents, Modesto and Eloisa Frésquez.
Donald is survived by his wife, Irene Martínez, sons, Anthony Esquíbel and Adrian Esquíbel, daughters, Melinda Silva and her husband, Ricky, Crystal Esquíbel and her companion, Shane, thirteen grandchildren, Ricky K. Silva, Anthony Silva, Leticia Serna, Heavenly Silva, Adrian Silva, Adam Esquíbel, Jessie Esquíbel, Katie Esquíbel, Christopher Vigil, Clarissa Vigil, Shane Martínez, Jordan Martínez and Evan Martínez, sisters, Elaine and Sam Salazar, Michelle Martínez and Robert García and Yzetta Martínez, aunt, Sylvia Daniels, brother-in-law, Demetrio Esquíbel and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Donald loved fishing, sports, playing with grandkids, carpentry, loved being in the wilderness and traveling. Donald was the kind of person who would give his shirt off his back to anyone in need. A person you can count on no matter what.
Prayer Services will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at Mountain View Church of Christ in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Mountain View Church of Christ with Preacher Eddie Quintana Officiating. Burial of Cremains will follow at Church of Christ Cemetery in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
