Roanoke, Virginia - Colon H. Brady, 78, son of the late Rufus H and Lydia A Brady went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 19, 2007. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for over 50 years and an active member of the Gideons International for over 30 years. He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Muriel Thomason Brady. Surviving are daughter and son in-law, Susan and David Burnley of Roanoke and their son, Justin Alexander Burnley; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Jane Brady of Phenix City, Ala. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 23, 2007 with the Rev. William C. Logan officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Gideons International. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Oakey's North Chapel, 362-1237.
