Glenn L. Aker, 75, of Etna Green, died of natural causes at 8:45 p.m. Saturday , April 1, 1995, at his home. He had been ill for the past year.

On July 24, 1919, at Drumright, Okla., he was born to Verna and Ada (O'Donnell) Aker. He had been a resident of Etna Green since 1969, coming there from Bremen. He had retired as a truck driver from Bremen Castings in January 1985.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II. He was a member of the American Legion.

On April 26, 1944, at Linn Grove, Ind., he married Avis Kunkel, who survives.

He also is survived by one daughter, Becky Golden of Etna Green; one son, Glenn Aker, Jr., of Bourbon, three grandchildren: Chad Aker and Jeremy and Melissa Golden; and one great-grandson, Skyler Golden.

Other survivors include one sister, Mrs. Blanche Grandlinard of Bluffton, Ind.

He is preceded in death by one brother, Harry.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Deaton Funeral Home in Bourbon with Pastor Dennis L. Bollenbacher officiating in the services. Burial will be at the Etna Green Cemetery in Etna Green with graveside military services by the American Legion Post of Bourbon.

Friends my call 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
