Aunt Melissia Banks passed away at her home at Ice, Kentucky, Saturday November 24, 1956 at 3:30 A.M. She had been ill for three months. She was a member of the Big Cowan Regular Baptist Church since 1912. She was the daughter of the late Dock D. Ison and Anna Creech Ison and was born October 15, 1868 being 88 years, 1 month and 9 days of age at the time of her passing. Her husband Uncle Boney Banks proceeded her in death.
She leaves the following children, Harrison, Boyd B., Eli, Grant, Wess, Mrs. Goldia Whitaker, Mrs. Ida Head, Mrs. Anna Hughes and Mrs. Virgie Sizemore.
Funeral services were held Sunday November 25th, 1956 at the residence, Ice, Kentucky, at 10:00 A.M., (CST) with Rev. Cullen Hogg, Curtis Caudill and John D. Ison officiating.
Burial in the Boney Banks cemetery.
