Mr. Alfred Keel "Al" Drayton age 61 of Clarkton died Friday November 23, 2012 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill.

Mr. Drayton was born July 1, 1951 in Miami Florida and was the son of the late Alfred Henry Drayton and Eva Mae Knutson Drayton. He was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran.

He is survived by his wife Rose Marie Varnum Drayton; two sons, Alfred Christopher Drayton of Winnabow, Shawn Keel Drayton of Clarkton; two daughters, Melissa Ann Drayton of Clarkton, Ericka Drayton of Hawaii; six grandchildren, Kelsea, Brandon, Brad, Ethan, Alexia, Adon; two brothers, William Drayton of Marion, NC, Michael Drayton of Wilmington; three sisters, Cheryl Gilmore of Asheboro, Lucille West of Atkinson, Cara Morrell of Rocky Point.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 28, 2012 at 2pm at Dixon Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Bill Negron officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
