Fred Turner was a well-known and highly respected sports editor for the Sun-Sentinel in South Florida. He joined the newspaper in 1980 and over the next 25 years built an award winning department that produced some of the country's top sports writers. Before moving to Florida, Fred was a reporter and editor at the Patriot Ledger in Quincy, Massachusetts. He was a graduate of Northeastern University.
