WEST COLUMBIA -- Services for Allen C. Arant, Sr., 95, of West Columbia, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Covenant Community Fellowship Church, 1111 Mason Road, conducted by Rev. Amos Hann, with burial in Southland Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Covenant Community Fellowship Church Building Fund. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia.Mr. Arant, widower of Eva K. Neely Arant, died Friday, May 30, 2003. Born in Swansea, he was the son of the late Martin M. and Henrietta Jeffcoat Arant. He was a member of Covenant Community Fellowship Church. Surviving are his daughter, Amelia Jewel of West Coumbia; sons, Allen Carlton Arant, Jr., and Lewis Arant both of West Columbia; sister, Frances Dennis of West Columbia; several nieces and nephews.
