Donna A. Bosshammer, 83, of Atchison, KS, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Atchison Hospital with her family by her side.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in honor of Mrs. Bosshammer are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran School Endowment Fund or the Atchison Library and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
Donna was born August 20, 1929 in Atchison, KS the daughter of Theodore Roosevelt and Veva Elvira (Chick) Scott. She attended school in Weston, MO and graduated from the Weston High School. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Donna had worked as a waitress for the Susie Q Restaurant and had also worked at the Henry Drive Inn and Safeway. She enjoyed watching television and especially visiting with friends.
Donna married Edwin J. Bosshammer, Jr. on April 4, 1951 in Atchison, KS at the First Christian Church. Mr. Bosshammer preceded her in death on December 27, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents and step-father, William ‘Burl' McClain.
Survivors include a son, Edwin J. Bosshammer, III and his wife Vicky; a daughter, Claudia Bosshammer-Bilimek and her husband George; all of Atchison, KS; brother, Robert Scott, Kansas City, KS; sister, Barbara Cormode, Lancaster, KS; granddaughter, Brooke; great-granddaughter, Alexis ; two nephews; special friends, Shirley Vandeloo and J.B. & Margaret Bishop.
