MOORESVILLE -- Margaret White Alexander, 89, of Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Genesis Eldercare.

She was born on May 1, 1922, in Mooresville, NC, to the late E. B. and Louella Caldwell White. She was a long-time member of Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church and retired from Burlington Mills after 25 years.

She is survived by her son, Donnie Alexander and wife, Sherry; grandchildren, Leslie Peters and husband, Cory of Davidson, John Benjamin Alexander of Cornelius; great-grandchildren, Cade Peters and Remy Kate Peters.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, John (Jude) Alexander; and siblings, James White, Lucille White and Alma Hager.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church in the Chapel with Rev. Mark Pitts officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church Building Fund, 575 Brawley School Road, Mooresville, NC 28117 or Alzheimer's Association/Piedmont Chapter, 3420 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
