Minnie Reno was the daughter of Frank Reno and Alice Bell Reno. On January 3, 1900, Minnie Reno married Lee Ashmore in Manor, Texas. They became the parents of six children, Harvey, Frank, Elizabeth, Stella, William, and an infant who died at birth. Minnie and Lee spent the early years of their marriage living not far from Manor on the Bell Farm, which was owned by Minnie's grandfather, A. L. Bell. All of their children were born on the Bell Farm. They later lived on farms owned by Lee Ashmore near Bertram and Decker. They eventually made their home in Manor. Lee died unexpectedly in 1941. Minnie spent her final years living in Galveston, Texas, where three of her children were also living.
