The funeral of Mrs. James Driscoll was held from the home of her son W.E Driscoll to the Anglican Church on Saturday afternoon. Rev. Rural Dean T. H. Hall officiated and was assisted by Rev. Harry coleman, of Newboro.

Mrs. Driscoll died on February 8 at the home of her daughter Mrs. J. C. Pennock, Elgin, Ontario. She was born on June 12, 1849 at Chatham, Ontario and with her parents moved to the township of Wolford when she was seven years of age.

Her parents came from England to this country and Mrs. Driscoll and her husband were amoung the early settlers of this terretory. Her husband died 23 years ago.

Friends from Smiths Falls, Perth, Oxford Mills and Kemptville attended the funeral service.

The pallbearers were Mrs. Driscoll's six grandchildren, W. J. and Eric Driscoll, Smiths Falls; Jack and James Burchill, Oxford Mills, and Harold and Willis Driscoll, Merrickville.

She is survived by two daugthers, Mrs. J. C. Pennock, Elgin and Mrs. Frank Burchill, Oxford Mills. She is also survived by three sons, John Driscoll, Smiths Falls, William Driscoll and Daniel, of Merrickville. In addition, 16 great grandchildren and 21 grandchildren survive.
