Born February 27, 1929 in East St. Louis, Illinois to the late Finis Ashley & Esther Mae Gordon Simmons,
On February 5, 1945 she married Claude Junior Brown who preceded in death on March 9, 1986.
She is survived by one son, Jeral Dean Brown of Dexter; one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley & Charles Fann of East Prairie; one brother, Thomas "Bubby" Simmons of Elsinore, Missouri; two grandchildren, Michael Bruce Brown and Robin Laster both of East Prairie; one great-grandson, Kyle Jackson of East Prairie
Two brothers, R.B. Harrison and Finis Simmons; and two sisters Dorothy Patrick and Virginia Stucker preceded Onieta in death.
