Dorothy L. Ahrnsbrak of Bluffton, SC and previously of Westminster, MD and widow of Clyde E. Ahrnsbrak passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at National Health Care in Bluffton. She was 87.

She was born in Westminster, Maryland, the daughter of the late Joe and Mamie Schmidt Long.

She was a retired history teacher and counselor in Carroll County, Maryland. She was a former resident of Sun City Hilton Head and a member of the Lowcountry Presbyterian Church in Bluffton.

She is survived by her son, Scot (Darice) Ahrnsbrak of Bluffton; her daughter, Sharon (Bob) Black of Bluffton; sister, Kate Long of Ocean City, Maryland; her grandchildren, Aaron (Yazmin) Black, Jessica Black, Daniel (Laurel) Ahrnsbrak and Rebecca Ahrnsbrak; and her great-grandchildren, Addison Black, Tyler Winston, Mark Winston and Gabriel Winston.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC. A graveside service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday November 24, 2012 in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD with Rev. Dr. David Highfield officiating.

Local arrangements are by the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster, MD.
