Singer; born to Salvation Army workers from Decatur, IL, along with her sisters Evelyn and Lucille,as the Overstake Sisters they began their career on WJBL radio in Decatur, IL and other central Illinois radio stations. In 1931, the Overstakes went to WLS in Chicago and were renamed "The Three Little Maids" and became regulars on the National Barn Dance, being featured on the local broadcasts, as well as the NBC feeds. They recorded for the American Record Corporation and Bluebird Records. In 1933, Eva married her fellow Barn Dance star, Clyde Julian "Red" Foley. Together, they had three daughters. Their daughter Shirley married singer Pat Boone in 1953.
