Born August 25, 1883, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Solomon and Sarah Dock Culler. Her marriage October 18, 1905, was to Garfield Shaffer who died in 1952. A life resident of Carroll County, she was a member of Delphi Presbyterian Church, Rose Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and a Past Grand Electa, and a charter member of the Questers Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Irene Mason of Rt. 4, Delphi, and Mrs. R. C. (Helen) Novatney of Elyria, Ohio; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m. and 7 and 9 p.m. Thursday at Jackson Funeral Home in Delphi where services will be at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Frederick Lanan will officiate and interment will be in Masonic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Presbyterian Memorial Fund or charity of their choice.
