Claud Russell Earp was born Nov. 30, 1904 in the family home north west of Stroud, Lincoln Co., Oklahoma Territory. Claud's parents, Wm. A. and Mary Wright Earp, homesteaded in N. Keokuk, Lincoln Co., Oklahoma Territory in 1892. They arrived by covered wagon having traveled from Nebraska to Ok. Terr. with several other wagons. Claud was the last of twelve children. He married Opal P. Henderson Jun 29, 1925 in Lincoln Co. OK. To this union was born three girls; Leona Geraldine, 1919-1919, Juanita Faye 1930-1942, and Claudia Kaye Earp Rice. Claud was a farmer and lived all his life in Lincoln County on the old Earp home place. He passed away September 1982.
