Fannie was the wife of Andrew Alexander Tays. The two were the parents of 12 children. My grandmother, Gladys Elizabeth Tays Young, was their 11th child.

Fannie was the only child of the union between Henry Ross Moores and Sina Angeline Crockett Wilemon, the widow of Benjamin.

BOONEVILLE MOURNS THE DEATH OF MRS. FANNIE M. TAYS

Widespread sorrow was occasioned by the death of Mrs. Fannie Crockett Moores Tays, who died at her home Tuesday morning. By kindred and friends she was held in highest regard.

Mrs. Tays came of a splendid pioneer family of Revolutionary ancestry. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Moores, who were identified with the early history of the county.

Surviving her is the devoted companion of thirty-eight years, Mr. A. A. Tays, with their eight daughters, Mrs. Robert Heyer, Mrs. Tom Peeler, Mrs. Frank Young, Misses Sybil, Edith, Mildred, Gladys, Doris Tays, and three sons, Messrs. Rodney, Clyde, and Herbert Tays, a son, Wesley, died several years ago, one brother, Mr. Ben Wileman, of Allison, Texas, and a number of grand-children.

In her late home, the funeral service, tender and impressive, was said by Rev. J. V. Bennett, and Rev. J. D. Thompson, at 5 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, with a very large gathering of friends present.

Mrs. Tays was of high intellect and possessed superb Christian graces. She was a member of Oak Grove M. E. Church and held unswervingly to the high ideals she cherished. The sadness of her going is somewhat softened by the memory of a beautiful and useful life.

She had a deep devotion for her home and family, and through the ten years of frail health she was lavished with affection.

The flowers were truly heart offerings, giving forth their mission of love and appreciation of her value as a citizen, friend, wife and mother of the best type. She was a benediction to her associates. She glorified womanhood.

The deepest sympathy of many friends is extended the family in their grief.

The pall bearers were: Messrs. S. D. Bell, Guy Young, Baxter Johnson, Murray Gresham, Gordon Smith, J. J. Taylor.

Mrs. Richard Price was in charge of the flowers.

Burial took place in the Booneville Cemetery with McMillan and Sons in charge.
