Mrs. A. Austin, relict of the late Samuel Austin of Laurens county, died on December 24, 1909, at the home of her son, Mr. Ed Johnson of Anderson. She was about 83 years old and had spent practically her whole life as a resident of Sullivan township. Her remains were laid to rest in Friendship cemetery on Christmas day, Rev. J.M. Dallas of Ware Shoals conducting the funeral services.
