Mary Carmaleta Ackley went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2012 after a long bout with cancer. She was born February 25, 1937 in Russellville, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Eugene Hester and the late Faye Wells.

Mrs. Ackley was an active member of the First Christian Church in Murfreesboro, where she had a wonderful church family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Luke Hester.

She is survived in death by her husband of 46 years, Daniel Ackley of Nashville. Five daughters, Debra Young of Bella Vista, AR, Linda and Rick Brasel of Harrison, AR, LaQuetta Martin of Nashville, AR, Deanna and Kirt Brown of Nashville, AR and Stacey and Paul Myers of Nashville,AR; two brothers Dean Hester of Livingston, TX and Edward Hester of Tuson, AZ; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

Services are scheduled for 200 P.M. Sunday, Nov.18, at First Christian Church, Murfreesboro, with Rick Green and Rob Evans officiating, burial in Ozan Cemetery, Bingen, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church pre-school or the Children's Christmas project through First Christian Church.
