Funeral services for Reden Alford, 40, of San Antonio, were held in Rockdale...burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Alford died in a hopital in Austin at 2 a.m. Wednesday...Born Dec. 30, 1903, Reden Alford was the son of the late Nat J. Alford, well-known Rockdale peace officer, and Mrs. Alford. His father was killed in an automobile accident June 24, 1921, and his mother died October 5, 1925. He was born and reared in the Rockdale public schools. In 1924 Reden Alford married Miss Avis Wilson, of Cameron...surviving, besides his wife, are two sons, Reden Noris, 17, and Charles Edgar, 12. Also surviving are three brothers: Ottie Alford, of Rockdale; Wm. E. Alford, Galveston; N. E. Alford, of Rockdale; and four sisters: Mrs. E. R. Wolf, Rockdale; Mrs. Ella Baggett, Abilene; Mrs. R. E. Crane, Austin; and Mrs. Pascal Pgue, Rockdale.

Reichert...Mr. Alford was the son of the late Nat Alford, pioneer peace officer in Rockdale. Besides his widow, two sons, Reden Norris and Chas. Edgar Alford, survive. The following brothers and sisters survive: Zeke Alford of Rockdale; Earnest (Monk) Alford of Galveston; Otis Alford of Rockdale; Mrs. Paschal Pogue of Rockdale; Mrs. Ella Baggett of Abilene; Mrs. Bob Crain of Austin; and Mrs. Lottie Wolf of Rockdale.
