Esther Catherine Ralstin Kleffman, 81, passed away Saturday evening, February 7, 2004, at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Okla.
The daughter of pioneer family, Evy (Brown) and Corbett Ralstin, she was born Aug. 26, 1922, on the Ralstin home place in Texas County.
She graduated from Guymon schools and was united in marriage to Gerd William Kleffman on June 27, 1945, in Guymon.
The Kleffmans farmed in the Straight community. Mrs. Kleffman was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, enjoyed quilting and crafts, was involved in the TOPS group and worked at the Straight Election Board for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Gerd Kleffman who passed away June 1, 2003.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda and husband, Ron Myers of Fayetteville, N.C.; Patsy and husband, Steve Lucas of Burlington, Kan. and Rebecca and husband, Nelson Dusenbury of Guymon; a sister, Edith and husband, Dean Schriber of Borger, Texas; a brother, Ray Ralstin and wife Yvonne of Guymon; two sisters-in-law, Maxine Ralstin of Hooker and Betty Williams of Guymon; grandchildren, Josh Lucas, Aaron Lucas and Malisa Myers; and great grandchildren, Hala Robinson, Axl and McKenzy Lucas; and a host of nieces , nephews and friends.
Her parents; husband; two sisters, Clara Wooden and Mary Delano and four brothes, Herman Ralstin, Hiram Ralstin, Donald Ralstin and Elmer Ralstin, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, February 12, 2004, at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Wescoatt officiating.
Interment will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of the Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.
