Thomas Baird, aged 37 years, a timberman in the Orient mine of the Orient Coal and Coke Company, was instantly killed by a slate fall in the mine Monday morning, April 15, 1929, at 6:45 o'clock.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sarah Baird, and a daughter, Florence.
Funeral services will be held in the home at Orient, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. R. G. Manley officiating.
Burial will be in Park Place cemetery, this city.
