Nancy Jordan Carroll, 96, of Roanoke, died, Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at the South Roanoke Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Clarence (Jake) Samuel Carroll. Born February 26, 1916 in Tye River, VA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Fogus Jordan and the late Pearl Giles Jordan. Mrs. Carroll was a homemaker and a member of Sandusky Baptist Church. Mrs. Carroll is survived by her nephews, Ted Hawley of Roanoke, Danny Hawley of Silver City, NM and Tommy Jordan; her nieces, Ann Carroll of Roanoke, Judy McCune of Salem and Dorothy Russell of Forest; and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy C. Spencer of Lynchburg and Helen C. Foster of Hampton. A funeral service will be conducted, 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Ed Vogt officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, 12-1 p.m., Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Sandusky Baptist Church.
