Deceased Name: BERTACINI, MELBA
Melba passed away peacefully on February 7, 2010 in Roseville, CA. She was born in Talmage, NE. Melba graduated from Technical High School in Omaha, NE where she met her husband Arthur. Melba was a longtime resident of El Cajon, CA and a member of the Elks Lodge. Melba, along with husband Art, sister Jackie and brother-in-law Hollis Brown, operated the Conditioned Air business during the 60s and 70s.

She was preceded in death by her parents August and Elsie Butz and husband Arthur Bertacini and sister Jacqueline Brown. She is survived by her son Ronald Bertacini and daughter-in-law Barbara Bertacini of Roseville, CA, along with five grandchildren Scott Bertacini and wife Daena of Fairfield, CA, Terrance Bertacini and wife Mary of Oakland, IA, Brian Bertacini and wife Michelle of San Jose, CA, Richard Bertacini and wife Julie of Roseville, CA and Lauren Conroy and husband John of Munich, Germany. She also has three step-grandchildren Mark Luna and wife Maria, Michael Luna, and Michele Dobbs and husband Erik. Melba also is survived by her sister Elaine Spurrier of Virginia Beach, VA. There are nineteen great-grand-children and six great-great-grandchildren.

Melba enjoyed traveling, reading, crossword puzzles and tending to her avocado and tangerine trees and many roses. There will be a funeral Mass at the Chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery, 4470 Hilltop Drive, San Diego at 12:30 on Friday, February 19, 2010. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sisters of St. Francis Canticle, 841 13th Avenue North, Clinton, IA 52732 - Attn: Sister Jan Cedula. Donations may also be made via the internet at www.clintonfranciscans.com.
