Frances E. Goss, 88, 5155 East 800 North, Bryant, passed away Monday in the Adams County Memorial Hospital in Decatur.

She was born in Bryant May 19, 1922, the daughter of Homer and Myrtle (Crabill) Butcher. She was married August 29, 1942 to Arthur L. Goss, and he passed away May 16, 1987. She retired in 1980 from Berne Furniture. She was a member and past president of Bryant Senior Citizens, board member of Bryant Community Center and avid member of Bryant Euchre Club.

Surviving are three sons, Gary Goss of Bryant, LeRoy Goss of Bryant, and DeWayne Goss of Bentonville, Arkansas; one daughter, Marlene Sipe of Berne; one brother, Homer Butcher of Portland; one sister, Katherine Wood of Greenwood; three grandsons; and one stepgranddaughter.

She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Harris presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-7 p.m. and prior to the services Friday. Memorials can be made to the Bryant Community Center.
