Services were held Tuesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth for Christine T. Bax, 77, of that community, a native of Argyle. The Rev. John Degnan conducted the funeral for Mrs. Bax, who died Saturday at a Columbia, Mo. hospital. Burial was in the St. cecilia Catholic Church Cemetery at Meta. Mrs. Bax was born March 23, 1915, to Herman and Catherine Boeckman Wieberg. She was married on July 2, 1934 to Joe Hoeller, who died Apr. 2, 1966. She then was married Sep 6, 1980, at Meta to Herman F. Bax, who survives at the home. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Lawrence parish and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign War at Argyle.
Other survivors include two daughters, Rosalie Wieberg and Emma Kempker, both of Westphalia; three brothers, Jerry Wieberg of Westphalia, Arthur Wieberg of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Andrew Wieberg of Duncombe, Iowa; a sister, Aharta Libbert of Meta; 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. A son, Herman Louis Hoeller, died Sep 22, 1984.
