Harold Paul Dikes, 66, of Warm Springs, died May 6 at Spalding Regional Hospital in Griffin. Funeral services were conducted at Mt. Hope Baptist Church May 11 with Reverend Ed White officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Dukes, Scottie Dukes, Mickey Dukes, Robbie Dukes, Lee Watkins, Travis Phillips.

Mr. Dukes was born January 29, 1935 in Spalding County, son of the late Willie Henry and Clara Bell Dukes. He was a self-employed mechanic, was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Kenneth Dukes and Phillip Dukes, both of Warm Springs, Lonnie Dukes of Pine Mountain, Mike Dukes of Woodbury; three sisters, Edna Cardell, Judy Martin, and Peggy Jones, all of Griffin; three brothers, Marvin Dukes, and Roy Dukes, both of Griffin, and Eugene Dukes of Williamson; seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sons, Darrell Dukes and Mickey Dukes.
