WESTFIELD - Kathleen R. (Stack) Bielanski, 30, a resident of this town, died on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after a long illness. Born November 27, 1974 in Holyoke, she was a 1993 graduate of Agawam High School and a 1995 graduate of Springfield Technical Community College. She was a registered Radiologic Technologist and was formerly employed at Baystate Medical Center. Although Katie faced many obstacles due to chronic illness throughout her life, she lived each day with courage, grace and humor. Her glass was always half full and she was a joy to all who knew her. Kathleen leaves her devoted husband and best friend Kevin, her loving parents Robert and Melanie (Wood) Stack of Agawam, loving sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia and Christopher Kardos of Worcester and nieces Julia and Olivia Kardos, loving sister and brother-in-law, Rosemarie and Richard Light of Agawam and nephews Thomas and Seamus Light. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Robert Stack, Jr., in 2002. She was the caring granddaughter of Cynthia (Gaiotti) Stack of Windsor, CT, and beloved niece of Angelo V. Stack of Agawam. She also leaves her loving in-laws, William and Joyce (Topor) Bielanski of Southwick and caring sister-in-law, Michelle Bielanski and brother-in-law William Bielanski, Jr. and nephew Billy Bielanski and niece Jessica Bielanski. Katie also leaves her devoted golden retriever, Molson and her cat, Shadow. The family would like to thank Katie's wonderful and caring Pulmonologist, Dr. Frederick Knauft of Hartford, CT, the physicians and staff at Baystate Medical Center Radiology Department, and the Felician Sisters of Enfield, CT for all their prayers and support over the years. The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street, with a Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church at 10. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery in West Springfield.
