Lillian Hunter, 78 of Ludington, passed away November 7, 2012 at Longfellow Towers.

She was born on December 27, 1933 in Detroit to the late William Hallberg and Ruth (Manning) Morgan.

She graduated from Ludington High School in 1953 and married Jerry Hunter on December 26, 1953 at Trinity Free Church in Ludington. She attended Cornerstone Baptist Church and was a member of the Ludington Legion Auxiliary. In her earlier years she enjoyed her flower gardens, refinishing furniture and her many dogs. Lillian was crowned Miss Ludington in 1953 and was honored this past Saturday at the Miss Ludington pageant.

Lillian is survived by her husband, Jerry: son, Dan (Marilyn) Hunter of Ludington; granddaughters: Angela Hunter, Jessica Hunter and Tracy Hunter; sister, Doris Wells of Decatur GA; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son and daughter-in-law, Kim and Cheryl Hunter; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Judy Hallberg.

A memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church on Monday, November 12 at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Jim Peterson and Dr. Chris Jarrett officiating.
