Jane, as she was called, was the daughter of Joseph Killinger & Naomi Sprinkle.

She married James Mitchell Aker. An article in the 15 Nov 1917 Belton Herald states that Jane Killinger and J M. Aker were married "fifty years ago last Sunday" at Marion, Virginia." James' obituary states they married 12 Nov 1868 in Virginia.

Jane & James Aker had nine children: Erie (Watts); Charles R.; Laura Bell (Hon); Cleo Emma (Sweeten); James Daniel; Joseph; Ernest Given; William Sylvester "Sell"; and Linnie O. (Fann, Wrong).
