Born to Eli Brownlow Crockett (1814–1902) of Tennessee & Mary Maggie Poteet (1818-1909) of Virginia, who married on June 12, 1836, in Jonesville, VA. Both of these parents died in Texas.
Andrew married Elizabeth Amanda "Lizzie" Scholl (1849-1925) on Dec. 24, 1867, in Irvine, Estill County, KY. Their daughter, Edwina, was born there. Between 1870 and 1880, the Crocketts, along with Lizzie's parents Peter & Goodwin Scholl, moved to Cameron, Milam County, TX.
By 1900, the Crocketts and Mrs. Scholl had moved to Center Point, TX.
