Staunton, IL--Mrs. Margaret McDaid, 65, wife of David G. McDaid, died Monday morning at St. Francis hospital in Litchfield. She had been seriously ill for several months.
Born in Columbia, Ill., November 2, 1880, decedent was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Stich. She was married to Mr. McDaid of Edwardsville on March 2, 1903, in St. Louis. One son, David J. McDaid, preceded her in death in Detroit, Mich., October 5, 1936. She moved with her family to Staunton in 1938. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic church.
Survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. George Bahn; four sisters, Mrs. Rudy Primes and Mrs. Ed Schlimmer, Glen Carbon, Mrs. Harry Brendel and Mrs. William Rauch, Edwardsville. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the Carlton funeral home with final rites at 9 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic church. Rev. P.H. Masterson officiated. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic cemetery.
