OBITUARY
ANNA HEAD
Anna Becky, youngest daughter of Ezra and Margaret Hixenbaugh, was born December 15, 1893 in Appanoose County and passed away at the University Hospital in Iowa City, February 13, 1959, at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 29 days.
On February 10, 1912 she was united in marriage to Carl H. Duer. To this union three children were born, Chester Duer of Melrose, John Duer of Clarkdale, Arizona and Mrs. Wilma Hudson of Russell. Her husband passed away January 12, 1920.
On January 10, 1925 she was united in marriage to Thomas M. Head. They established their home in Confidence and she lived there until her death. Three children were born to this union, James and Wayne of Des Moines and Mrs. Bonnie Deney of Russell.
Early in life she accepted Christ as her Saviour and was a faithful member of the Assembly of God Church in Confidence, where she will greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A loving mother, a kind friend, always ready to help someone along life's way. Giving unselfishly of her time, never thinking of herself but of others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, four sisters and one grandchild. She is survived by her husband, six children, 16 grandchildren, one great-grandson, one sister, Mrs. George Finley of Chariton and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held Monday, February 16, 1959 at 3:00 p.m. in the Assembly of God Church in Confidence, conducted by Rev. W. E. Longden. Interment was in the Confidence Cemetery.
