Mr. Prather
Thomas Edward :”Pete”Prather, Sr., 67, 115 Gramling St., Marietta, died Tuesday.
Funeral services were to be at 2 p.m. today in the Colloway Chapel of the First Baptist Church of LaGrange. Dr. J. Thornton Williams was to officiate. Burial was to be in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange.
Mr. Prather operated a grocery store in Marietta for a number of years.
Surviving are his wife, Marian Wilson Prather, Marietta; two daughters, Marijayne P.
Layne,Chattanooga, Virginia P. Moore, Marietta; one son, Thomas Edward Prather, Jr.,Acworth; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Gertrude Grubbs, Havre de Grace, Md., Augusta Prather, Five Points, Ala.; one niece.
