The original tombstone was replaced after 1988 by Harold McGee, but according to Confederate grave records at the Washington Library in Macon, GA, Frank Andrews was a very close friend of the McGee Family. He and his wife are the only two non-family members buried in this family cemetery, which is on the old McGee Farm. He fought in the same unit as James Madison McGee, though he likely joined after James's death in Mississippi of wounds sustained in the Battle of Baker's Creek. His wife, Sarah Ann Long McGee, is related to the McGee family through matriarch Hulda Long McGee.
