FORT WORTH - Ada L. Matthews Gaither, retired from retail sales, died Wednesday at a Fort Worth nursing home. She was 86.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.

Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Mrs. Gaither was born in Granbury.

Survivors: Son, Ronnie Gaither of Biloxi, Miss.; three daughters, Bobbi Field of Dallas, Jackie Williams of Fort Worth and Linda Jordan of Hurst; two sisters, Ruby Alvis of Haskell and Eula Newsom of Odessa; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
