Robert Alan Nuzman, 83, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Paramount Baptist Church with Charlie Cox officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Alan was born March 30, 1929, in Tulia to Roy and Amy Nuzman. He was employed by GE Jones Electric, where he met the love of his life, Georgia Mae Hall. They were married Feb. 27, 1953, in Clayton, N.M., and resided in Amarillo.

Alan worked for GE Jones Electric and KGNC Channel 4 for 27 years. He opened Ranco Communications with his wife. They operated Ranco for 20 years before retiring. He raced micro midgets for many years and was a member of Micro Midget Association.

Alan was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Most of all, Alan loved being Pops to his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by by his wife, Georgia; a son, Bobby Nuzman; a daughter, Sharon Bridges; his parents; and a sister.

Survivors include a son, Eddie Gann of Dallas; two daughters, Cynthia Nuzman and Judy Philley; two grandsons, Shane Nuzman and wife Londa and Aaron Nuzman and wife Monica; four granddaughters, Amber Henson, Alisha Corbet and husband Danny, Jennifer Philley and Rachel De La Garza; and five great-grandchildren, all of Amarillo.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
