Regina A. Peppenhorst was born on September 15, 1909, in Beaver Prairie, a daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth (Wolters) Pollmann. She married Cleophus P. Peppenhorst on February 19, 1935, at St. Felicitas Church in Beaver Prairie and he preceded her in death on November 14, 2002.

Mrs. Peppenhorst was a member of St. Felicitas Church and the Altar Sodality at the church. She enjoyed cooking, quilting and visiting with her family and friends and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Regina A. Peppenhorst died on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Carlyle Healthcare Center in Carlyle, Illinois. She was 102 years of age.

She is survived by 4 daughters – Marilyn Klutho and husband Harold of Beckemeyer, Alice Von Hatten and husband Bernard and Jane Rakers and husband Bob, all of Carlyle and Judy Revermann and husband Sylvester of Huey; 2 sons – Lester Peppenhorst and wife Mildred of Beaver Prairie and Larry Peppenhorst and wife Sharon of Carlyle; 21 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Elizabeth Pollmann; her husband, Cleophus Peppenhorst; 2 sisters – Leona Petermeyer and husband August and Alvina Peppenhorst and husband Anthony and a brother-in-law – Andrew McQuade and wife Viola.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, March 19, 2012, at St. Felicitas Church in Beaver Prairie with Fr. Lawrence Nickels, O.F.M., officiating. Burial will follow in St. Felicitas Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Zieren Day Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. and on Monday from 8:00 – 9:30 A.M. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Peppenhorst are suggested to St. Felicitas Cemetery Fund, Wheatfield Fire Department or to the charity of the donor's choice and will be received at the funeral home.
