Karl E. Neuweiler, 65, died Wednesday, July 16, 1997, at Columbia Putnam Medical Center following a short illness.
A native of Long Branch, N.J., and former resident of Titusville, he had resided in Palatka since 1993, coming from San Diego, Calif. A manufacturing engineer in the aerospace industry, he had worked with several different companies and was currently working with Central States Diversified in Palatka. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Moose Lodge No. 1641 and the North Florida Live Steamers and was a Catholic. He also owned and operated the "Whistle Stop" shop in Pomona Park.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Neuweiler of Pomona Park; son, Kenneth Neuweiler of Titusville; daughters, Elaine Wall of Fruitland, Diane Neuweiler of Titusville; mother, Ella Alefield of Springfield, N.J.; sisters, Joyce Alatorre of Union, N.J. and Betty Lou Gardner of Bound Brook, N.J.; and three grandsons.
Graveside services will be Saturday, 11 a.m. at Oak Hill West Cemetery in Palatka with American Legion Post No. 45 making the flag presentation.
