Mrs., Eva Higley Barker, 60, of 306 28th St., former resident of Pleasant View, died this morning
in the Dee Hospital after a short I illness. Mrs. Barker had been an active genealogical and temple worker I in the LDS Church for many I years. She was also a teacher primary of the Primary of the Pleasant View Ward for over 25 years and a teacher in the Relief Society. At the time of her death she was a Primary teacher and Relief Society visiting teacher and active in genealogy in the Second Ward.
She was born Feb. 22, 1894 in Kaysville, a daughter of William c. and Catherine Mayberry Higley. She resided in Pleasant View for 36 years and moved to Ogden four years ago.
On May 14, 1913, she was married to Wilford L. barker in the LDS Salt lake Temple. Mr. Barker is a member of the Barker Bros. Insurance Agency in Ogden. Surviving are her husband, Ogden; the following sons and daughters: Lawrence, J., Alvin G. and Boyd M. Barker, Los Angeles; Leonard W. Barker, Ogden; Darrell L. Barker, U. S. Navy; Mrs. Lawrence (Carma) Zaugg, Ogden. And Mrs. Reese
(Donna) Chadburn, Ogden; Mrs. Floyd (Erva) Kunzler, West Weber, 16 grandchildren, one brother and one sister, Ervin Higley, Far West, and Mrs. Myrtle Lopaz Hadlock, Ogden, and her stepmother, Mrs. Diane Johns Higley, Ogden
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 24th Street and Adams Avenue, Bishop Rulan d. Wardle of the LDS second Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday until the hour of services. Interment will be in North Ogden C cemetery.
