In 1924, while living in Tacoma WA, Elizabeth was left a widow with nine children to raise. Three years later, Elizabeth tragically lost her life when her dress caught fire on the gas stove.
She was only 45 years of age when she succumbed to her injuries and is buried in Calvary Cemetery along with her husband.
