The cemetery was listed in "Talladega County, Alabama Tombstone Inscriptions of All Known Cemeteries 1700's to 1987", Volume I, c. 1989 by Joseph W. and Francis S. Upchurch, but was an unknown or unlisted cemetery in "Early Tombstone Record of Talladega County, Alabama", c. 1973 by Carolyn Lane Luttrell. Her field work was completed during 1945-1955.
There were eleven graves reported to be in this cemetery in 1984, nine of which were marked with a headstone or graveslab. A twelfth grave's slab was uncovered in 2012, that of John Reed Cunningham, infant son of Andrew and Jane A. Cunningham.
An epitaph transcription, Revelation 14:13, "Blessed are the dead...", is in the caption of a photograph added to the memorial of Capt. Joseph T. Cunningham. The other nine graves with headstones or graveslabs have the epitaphs included in their memorials.
The brother of Agnes Elizabeth Montgomery Cunningham (1790-1862), James Montgomery (1797-1878), and his family lie only a few miles distant at "Indian Hill Farm Cemetery" on Eastaboga Road.
Adeline Cunningham Elston (1827-1851), wife of W. L. Elston, and her two daughters, Adeline Cunningham (1851-1852) and Ann Agnes (1850), are buried here. William L. Elston (1829-1858) is buried in the "Allen Elston 1860" family cemetery at the National Register of Historic Places' "Elston House", seven miles away on Faith Manor Road.
The cemetery is located on private property approximately 3 miles east of the intersection of Hwy 77 and Speedway Boulevard. The entrance into the property is secured by a locked gate. There are several broken graveslab and headstone pieces, as well as oblong depressions indicative of unmarked graves. The Harper family acquired the property in 1919, and related that the cemetery had been vandalized sometime prior to then.
