Kregme Church is beautifully situated on a small, steep hill between Roskilde Fjord and Arresø. The oldest part of the church is over 800 years old. As building material they used boulders. It was during the Roman era. Then were built on in the Gothic period, with red brick. The church was extended westward, the windows were enlarged, nave and chancel and porch were added gables with stepped and blinds, and about 1500 came to the tower. It was put into the ground on the north side of the choir and Kregme Church has thus been given its own, irregular appearance.
When you enter the church, caught the eye of a large, colorful window over the altar. The anniversary in 1950, the church's inner restored the old altarpiece (from 1844) was hung in the sacristy. A large rundblænding eastern gable of the choir was open and equipped with a glass painting. It depicts Christ as the world judge. In the south window in the chancel are inserted glass paintings. They're like the first one done by artist Johan Thomas Skovgaard. - During the restoration the church got a new altar of stone.
In 1886 they found frescoes, but they have been overhvidtet with the exception of a Romanesque production of child murder in Bethlehem (on the north wall of the choir). The pulpit is made of cartilage Baroque from the 1646th
deacon chair is a beautifully cut piece from 1560. The fields are as fine "pens work", the arched top of the plant motifs in Renaissance style. - On the ship south wall of the organ hangs a whiteboard with a long elegy, author of Gertrude Albertsen Schumacher (a relative of Peter Griffenfeld) on the occasion of his transfer to Elsinore the 1671st - On the ship's north wall is a memorial plaque for fallen soldiers from wars Kregme parish in 1850 and 1864. - The bells are from 1649 and the 1722nd
