From Chanute, Kansas, take Highway K-39 East for 7 miles to Lyon Road. Turn LEFT onto Lyon Road (paved) and go North for 3œ miles to 250th Road. The cemetery is located on the SE corner of the intersection.
Cemetery established in 1870. This cemetery is on the county line. The south side of the road is 250th Road in Neosho County and the north side of the road is Alabama Road in Allen County.
On 19 May 1973, Fred Burton Alford, Born 17 March 1889, therefore 84 years of age when he produced the lot plat and gave information on the above-ground crypts of Dave Follin and wife, and this information on stones dates prior to 1870. These graves were moved from 3/4 mile southeast of Leanna Cemetery.
The first man to own this farm was Martin Kern, Land Patent 1 June 1869, filed 21 Feb 1881. U. S. Grant was President.
