The RUSH LAKE BAPTIST CEMETERY is located on the west side of the church property. The old church building is no longer used for services although a homecoming celebration is held each year on the second Sunday in June. On this day a service is held at 11 a.m. with Swedish singing, a speaker with historical connections to the original congregation, followed by a potluck meal. A freewill offering is collected to help cover on-going maintenance costs.

The graveyard is maintained by a resident caretaker, including the cultivation of lush peonies that adorn many of the graves. During the peak flowering period, the air is filled with the sweet perfume of these magnificent bouquets. The fragrance can be detected from a large distance away.
