Cemetery located E/SE of Lexington and south of the Lexington Wildlife Management Area.
Legal description:
NE 1/4, SE 1/4, Section 19, Township 6N, Range 1E
"Corbett Cemetery is 5 tenths mile north of Box Road on the west side of 144 ave S.E.. In this area very few of the intersections have street signs posted.
It is believed that the cemetery was started in 1914 when land was purchased from Dave Smith by Solomon A. Ward as a resting place for his son: Fred Ward, row 1, grave 1 - the first to be buried. Some stones have a death date prior to 1914; this is because some bodies were moved here from other cemeteries.
Corbett is in one section. Row 1, Grave 1, starts in the northeast corner of the cemetery. ( see "Cemetery Layout" in photos section)
