Located within the territory of the Opaskwayak Cree Nation, about 0.6 miles (1.0 km) north of the community of Big Eddy, with its easiest access obtained via Kiche Maskanow; the cemetery is at the northernmost extremity of a land island formed by a divergence of two roadways that rejoin each other.
There is no network of improved roadways providing vehicular access to the grounds.

This cemetery is on Opaskwayak Cree Nation territory near The Pas, Manitoba holds some very early graves of local Opaskwayak Cree people of the area. While some of the graves are identifiable, these are only the most recent ones. The majority of them are marked with small wooden crosses that do not identify the person.

A small part of the story that occurred on the land of this First Nation from the early days of European settlement through roughly 2011 is told in the volume "The Pas 100 Years -- Photographs 1912 - 2012".
