The Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart, dedicated in 1893, is the main Catholic chapel on the campus of Georgetown University. Funds for its construction were donated by Elizabeth Wharton Drexel Dahlgren, spouse of John Vinton Dalgren, a Georgetown alumnus, as a memorial to their infant son, who died at the age of one in 1891. The Dahlgren family crypt is located within the chapel.
