Im Sommer 1944 errichtete die nationalsozialistische Volkswohlfahrt in Schloß Etzelsdorf bei Pichl ein "Fremdvölkisches Kinderheim".
Bis Ende 1946 wurden darin etwa 70 Säuglinge - Kinder von Zwangsarbeiterinnen - untergebracht.
13 von ihnen verstarben auf Grund mangelhafter Pflege und Ernährung im Herbst 1944.
Sie sind auf diesem Friedhof bestattet.
