Sadie Brown Cemetery is on Hwy 63 North, from West Plains. Tuen left at West 14 Hwy. The cemetery is on the cornor, on the right hand side of Hwy 63 & West 14 Hwy. It sits accross Hwy 63 from Granny's Cafe. The cemetery is named after Saint Leger 'Sadie' Brown, a once enslaved black man turned minister, who was granted land in 1891 because of the Homestead Act. He donated part of that land for a black cemetery as some of the members of the black community had already been interred there since the 1880's. A grant was provided and in 2023 a project, many years in the making, located and marked about 100 graves so the cemetery could continue to be used.
